About Katerre Expedition

Katerre means 'All Good' in the Yanomami language, and that's exactly what we've been striving to provide for over 20 years. Navigating the rivers of the Western Amazon, Katerre Expedition offers a unique experience that combines comfort, safety, and authenticity in every detail. Our itineraries explore the region's most preserved and symbolic sanctuaries, revealing lush natural landscapes, wildlife, and the rich cultural expressions of Amazonian peoples. The Amazon will always be a source of human attention and curiosity, home to the planet's greatest biodiversity, ancestral peoples, and unique cultures. We affirm that the Amazon is almost all of this, plus some secrets we will reveal. Sailing with Katerre is to experience the Amazon intimately, safely, and transformatively. Katerre employs local people, allowing them to contribute their talent and local wisdom, whether in preparing homemade food served on board, maintaining the vessels, or as forest-savvy tour guides. We also support socio-environmental projects like Fundação Almerinda Malaquias (FAM), Associação das Artesãos de Novo Airão (AANA), and Associação dos Artesãos e Extrativistas do Rio Jauaperi (AARJ).
